When: Sunset in April
Where: Truckee, California
Styling: One aspect that makes photoshoots special is the attire that families choose to wear. While many families might look to me for help, it’s also possible to style yourselves and create a unique look that reflects your personality and style.
Tiffany managed to style her entire family for her family photos with hardly any outside help. She opted for a moody and dramatic look, choosing to dress her family in black. When done right, black can make a bold statement and add a sense of sophistication to the overall look, and they nailed it! I personally LOVE black attire.
During the winter months, it’s crucial to dress warmly for outdoor photoshoots, especially when young children are involved. When kids aren’t dressed appropriately, they tend to look chilly and uncomfortable, which can ruin the overall aesthetic of the photos. However, there is some leeway for teenagers, who might want to prioritize fashion over practicality.
During the Session:
It’s always refreshing when photoshoots are fun and down to earth, like Tiffany’s recent family photoshoot. Tiffany opted for the Short N’ Sweet package, which is a 20-minute session that takes place in Truckee, California. This type of session is perfect for families who are comfortable with the camera and want to capture beautiful moments in a short amount of time.
It’s worth noting that Tiffany is a photographer herself, which likely contributed to the fun and relaxed atmosphere of the shoot. Being familiar with the photography process can help families feel more comfortable and confident during a shoot, which can lead to some epic family imagery!
Overall, Tiffany’s photoshoot is a great example of how my Short N’ Sweet session can still be a meaningful and enjoyable experience. With the right mindset and preparation, families can capture ammmmazing moments that they will treasure for years to come, regardless of the duration of the session.
